Top 5 Trendiest Easter Recipes on Pinterest

You know what they say… “April showers bring May flowers, and early March food blogging brings late March Easter Pinboards.” Okay, well maybe they only say the first half of that, but the latter half is definitely true, so let’s just roll with it. These days, you can’t even have a third-tier holiday like Arbor Day without a million Pinterest boards popping up, so you can only imagine how big of a deal such a high-profile holiday like Easter is. Clearly we had to get our Peep-loving selves in on the action as well.

Presenting… the Top 5 Trendiest Easter Recipes on Pinterest.

Cadbury Creme Egg Milkshake

5. Cadbury Creme Egg Milkshake from Chocolate Moosey
Milk chocolate eggs stuffed with frosting are amazing enough as it is, but incorporate them into a chocolate ice cream milkshake – complete with homemade fondant! – and you’ve got a real winner.

Easter Peanut Butter Buttons

4. Easter Peanut Butter Buttons from The Curvy Carrot
Probably one of the easiest things ever. Peanut butter filled pretzels are a classic, and so are white chocolate covered pretzels. Adhere a Reese’s Peanut Butter Egg to a pretzel with melted white chocolate, and you’re in Easter snack heaven.

April Fools: TOT-ally Delicious Cauliflower Tots

Cheesy Cauliflower Tots

Well, April Fools’ Day is around the corner.  Does anyone have any tricks or pranks in mind to pull on your loved ones?

I wish I did, but I am notoriously bad at pranks.  Even something as simple as saying something is true when it’s not sends me into a fit of childish giggles.  I also cannot keep a secret, so if I’m planning on pranking you, I’ll probably spill the beans way before it happens.

It’s sad, really.

I’m a grown woman.  You would think I could keep a straight face for a little white lie…but no.

So, I’m NOT going to tell you these are tater tots.  I will NOT boast their incredible potato-y flavor and their spud-like texture.

Because then I’d look like a fool.

These cheesy, slightly gooey in the middle and crisp on the outside tots are all cauliflower.  And as hard as it tries, cauliflower will never be a potato.

It’s cool, though, because cauliflower has its own thing going on.  I promise you these are healthy and delicious!

Trust me.  It’s not like I’d lie to you.

Ultimate White Chocolate Peepmallow Reese’s Peanut Butter Easter Treats

Easter Treats

When I think of Easter foods, I think of marshmallows, pastels, egg-shaped candies, white chocolate bunnies, PEEPS, the usual. Okay, by “foods” I totally meant “sugar-loaded junk foods” but I think we can all get behind that. Hallelujah. If you want to bring a sweet something to an Easter brunch or potluck but don’t want to have to bake or take more than 15 minutes of time, then this is the (adorbs!) recipe for you.

Everyone knows Rice Krispies Treats are delicious, but these are even better because they incorporate melted white chocolate (in the form of a bunny, duh) as well as two types of peanut butter (normal PB melted in with the marshmallows, plus Reeses Pieces Eggs stirred in at the end). Speaking of the marshmallows, I used a combination of regular ones and pink Peeps. He has risen! (In this case, the word “he” means “my blood sugar”).

Are You Feelin’ Lucky, Punk? Lucky Charms Milkshake Cocktail

Lucky Charms Shake

Ok, so I’ve been a little bit M.I.A. the past couple of weeks.

I’ve been feeling uninspired, which is known to happen from time to time when you are trying to create original recipes to share with the world. The Internet is kind of intimidating sometimes. Buuuut, I’m baccckkk!!! Because nothing is more inspiring than a holiday that incorporates alcohol…such as St Patty’s Day.

I know I love cereal and I know I love alcoholic shakes, so come on.  I had to marry the two to create my..

Burns My Bacon: Whipped Cream at Mickey D's

Public Service Announcement: The Shamrock Shake is back!

While other stores stock up on Easter Candy and the new summer line, McDonald”s is proactively celebrating a true holiday: St. Patty”s Day. Other than Irish Car Bombs, there is nothing better than a Shamrock Shake on a not-so-near-Spring day. Just one thing:make sure you tell them you don”t want whipped cream on it. Or the damn cherry…

Sure, I like whipped cream, but not when it replaces one fourth of the shake! Oh yeah, and they put a cherry on top. If I wanted a sundae, I”d order a sundae (somewhere else). But guess what? I want a mint shake with green food coloring in it, Det er SkillOnNet som leverer spillene til EU casino online , en aktor som er anerkjent for nedlastbare casino online er. and I want it filled to the top, damnit. Only for less than one month a year do I get to drink green, minty, creamy, fatty goodness. I don”t want whipped cream to clog up my red and yellow striped straw—that narrow tunnel is reserved only for my shake.

I know, I know, this is not something new. I got screwed over last year. So this year, I got smart and told them, “no whip, asshole.” What did I get? Three-fourths of a cup of a Shamrock Shake (that will teach you for trying to be fancy with your clear plastic cup, “McCafe.”)  I went via the drive-through and didn”t notice the damage done until it was too late. Don”t let this happen to you. Check it before you take your first big SUCK through the straw. We deserve better. My Irish car bomb better be f”ing awesome this year…
