Cocktail O’Clock: Moonshine Mint Julep
Is the Monday before the Kentucky Derby too early to start pouring mint juelps?
Me thinks not.
For today’s cocktail o’clock, here’s a modern spin on the MJ, made here with Ole Smoky Moonshine — a quintuple-distilled grain-neutral spirit that goes down, dare I say it, smoother than bourbon.
Moonshine Mint Julep
4 fresh mint leaves
1 oz. simple syrup
Crushed ice
2 oz. Ole Smoky Moonshine® White Lightnin’TM
1 fresh mint sprig
Lime Garnish
Place mint leaves and simple syrup in a highball glass.
Muddle mint leaves with syrup.
Add ice; pour moonshine over ice.
Garnish with lime and mint sprig.
Yes. This is everything.
