for dinner: sliced a pita in half and then pried open the pockets. stuffed in half an avocado (roughly mashed with salt and pepper), chunks of turkey breast and shreds of lettuce tossed with dijon mustard. served with side of ruffled chips.
and, i’d like to make the case that mayo is never a necessity in a sandwich. avocado’s rich and creamy flavor and texture surely beats mayo as the “condiment” of choice.
Chris:All of those spices, including the lovely and precious saffron, are now useless sawdust. :(
