Endless Simmer readers, I must be subconsciously, or not-so-subconsciously, obsessed with record-breaking food events these days, because here’s another story about the world’s largest custard pie fight.

This looks like so much fun, and reaches our inner impulses to play with our food.
But the pie-lover inside of me kind of cringes that they couldn’t eat those pies after being catapulted through the air (except for some probably accidental consumption). Seems like such a waste of a good pie. No word on whether or not Guinness has another record for fruit pies.
