I know it’s summer and I’m supposed to be watching my weight so I can wear skimpy bikinis and fit into a bridesmaid dress (love you Jules!), but seriously, all I can think about is ice cream. So as I flip through my summer reads, here are the top three ice creams I’ll be tasting as I promote the sedentary lifestyle.

ONE Cheesecake Brownie [Ben & Jerry's]

Cheesecake Brownie with Cheesecake Brownie Chunks

Jamoca® Oreo® [Baskin Robbins]

Jamoca (coffee-flavored ice cream made from BR’s exclusive blend of coffee) swirled with delectable fudge ribbon and delicious Oreo cookie pieces

Fleur de Sel Caramel [Haagen-Dazs]

Fleur de Sel caramels covered in a chocolaty coating blended into caramel ice cream with caramel ribbons and French sea salt accents

While all those ice creams sound divine- you simply must check out
    http://jenisicecreams.com/index.html
(and then attempt to fit into anything, much less a bikini)
They have flavors that give Ben & Jerry a run for their money. Here are some you should try:
    Wild Berry Lavender
(Cream steeped with lavender, orange zest, wild blueberries and black currants.)
    Queen City Cayenne
(Condensed milk chocolate “Cincinnati style” with cayenne and cinnamon!) and
    Riesling Poached Pear Sorbet
(The flavor and texture of a ripe juicy pear.)
Some of their other flavors include goat cheese, cardamom, lambic beer, honey and hibiscus. The best part is that they ship across the country and the prices are pretty good- starting at $70 for a 6 pack of pints.
Did I hear the faint echo of people shouting “ICE CREAM PARTY!” through my computer screen? I thought so…..

Cincinnati’s Graeters is the best ice cream in the country. My current favorite is Strawberry Chip. Dove’s Caramel Pecan Perfection with Ganache is also very good. Graeters can be ordered online.

i’m actually not really into fruity ice cream. i do, however, like real fruit in my ice cream. or i could do a fruity sorbet, but that’s just if the ice cream flavors are not interesting. craziest i’ve had – black pepper ice cream at mark and orlandos.

Can we talk about the asparagus ice cream at Belga Cafe? Why is that so good? It makes no sense that asparagus ice cream would be good. It almost makes me angry.

The dijon ice cream that Poste was spooning into their gazpacho last summer was pretty amazing. I’m hoping they bring it back once we get more firmly into tomato season.
