Not-So-Super Mario
While the male version of our tastiest chef contest has not attracted quite as much attention as its feminine predecessor, this thing is shaping up to be a real nail-biter, with Anthony Bourdain clinging to a razor-thin lead over Jamie Oliver.
And now comes breaking news from America’s most trusted source, the NY Post, that due to his poor showing in this poll, Mario Batali has been axed from the Food Network. And we don’t mean axed like in he won’t get a fifteenth show. This is fired as in he is gone from everything, even Iron Chef.
We can neither confirm nor deny rumors that Mario Batali is prepared to pose naked on this blog as a last ditch attempt to win this contest and save his career.

wow, and molto mario is one of the few shows i could stand on food network. it wasn’t super stylized like the other crap, it was him pouring out gobs of Italian and Sicilian knowledge and then serving the food to unidentifiable (and sometimes drag queen) new yorkers.
