Rooms is not down with TVFF‘s poached egg discovery: My mom in law got me those egg poachers for xmas, and they totally do not do it for me. I used them about 3 times, and now they just sit in the drawer. You might as well just microwave poach your eggs in a mug; they come out almost the same. And what’s the point of poached without the vinegar? Boo.

LaMorgan says slaw on dogs is a Northeast thing too:  I’m from Boston and I’ve definitely put slaw on a hot dog before. I don’t think WVA has full dibs on the one, but they might emphasize it more than other places. Anywhere with a Central/Eastern European heritage, I’d imagine, will tend to offer slaw with hotdogs – the American version of brats & sauerkraut.

– Finally, don’t miss commenters’ bonus Flight of the Conchords food clips:

TVFF: Not sure if it counts, but they do mention eating a kabob in “The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmDTSQtK20c

Very Very Good Girl: These aren’t tears of sadness because you’re leaving me, I’ve just been cutting onions…I’m making a lasagna…for one…

Kind of a weak food reference, but makes me laugh nonetheless.
