Top 10 New Halloween Cocktails

We already told you what kind of beers to drink while handing out candy to the tots. But sometimes there are just SO many kids, and halfway through you can’t help but break out the strong stuff.

Be prepared. Don’t answer that doorbell until you’ve whipped up at least one of these 10 new Halloween cocktails.

10. Peaches and Scream

1.5 oz Old Forester Bourbon
.5 oz Cream
.5 oz Peach Purée
.5 oz Apple Butter Syrup
Pinch of Cinnamon Spice
Brown Sugar Rim
Peach or apple garnish

Muddle and strain over ice into a martini glass with a brown sugar rim. Garnish with a peach or apple slice.

9. Honey Boo Boo

2 oz. gin
¾ oz honey syrup
½ oz fresh lemon juice

Shake with ice, strain into a chilled cocktail and enjoy!

8. Stormy Weather

1 1/2 parts EFFEN Vodka
1/2 part Triple Sec
1/2 part Lime Juice
3/4 parts Spiced Syrup (see recipe below)
1 dash Angostura® Bitters
Ginger Beer

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake. Strain and pour into a cocktail glass with ice.

7. Spooky Screwdriver

6 ounces orange juice
4 ounces black vodka

Pour in orange juice. Gently layer black vodka over juice. Serve

6. Peanut Butter Cup


1 Part Frangelico
1 Part Carolans

Blend with 3-4 ice cubes. Serve on the rocks

5. Crisp Twilight

 

1 1?2 parts EFFEN Cucumber Vodka
1 part Fresh Grapefruit Juice
3?4 part Organic Simple Syrup
1 dash Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters
5 Sage Leaves

In a mixing glass, shake all with ice and strain into a low tumbler over ice. Garnish with grapefruit peel and a sage leaf.

4. Black Cherry Ghoul

3.5 ounces black vodka
.5 ounce blackberry brandy or Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur
Berries or cherries for garnish

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Pour over ice and serve.

3. Jack-O-Lantern

Muddle 1 orange wheel
Muddle 7 mint leaves
2 oz Jack Daniels
1.5 oz Simple Syrup
1.5 oz Lemon Juice
.5 oz Chambord
Orange wheel garnish

Muddle orange wheel and mint leaves into a shaking tin. Add ice and all ingredients. Strain into a martini glass. Sink Chambord and garnish with an orange wheel.

2. Candy Corn Martini

1 oz Grenadine
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Voli Orange Vodka
2 oz Coconut Vodka
Splash of Crème

Mix vodka and orange juice together and strain into a martini glass. Then mix coconut vodka and cream and mix and layer into the martini glass. Sink the grenadine into the glass.

1. Witches’ Brew

2.25 oz Caliche Rum
2.25 oz Dark Rum
1.25 oz Bacardi 151
2.5 oz Pineapple Juice
.75 oz Lime Juice
.75 oz Simple Syrup
1.25 oz Grenadine

Fill glass completely with ice and add all ingredients. Use your bar spoon to stir the drink until all of the ingredients are combined, creating a pinkish red color. Throw in a handful of gummy worms and the appropriate amount of silly straws needed.

    Halfway through trick or treating? Try before ANY kids come. I can’t handle that.I’m going with the Witches Brew, that should get me good and scary looking.
