    soft and sweet, but i dont think an onion takes on the same specialness as a tomato does after being in a low temp oven for 4+ hours.

    yea, the 100 ways to use a tomato inspired me to slow roast some grape-sized tomatoes I had that were just about to go bad. I decided to throw some small onions on there to see what would happen. They were good, but didnt transformer like the tomatoes.
