i soak my pyrex, pots, & pans with hot water and oxi-clean. it works amazingly well.

Umm. I just realized that makes me sound like I burn my food a lot. LOL> no.

I just don’t like the black buildup underneath and I once was given a free glass saute pan (with decades of black buildup). I never figured out how to use it effectively, so I got rid of it, but I spent a few weeks going over it every few days with a steel wool and when I tossed it, it was pretty.

Steel wool and baking soda.
It’s how I clean the black off my pans. And I have rescued quite a few.
