isPermaLink="false">http://www.endlesssimmer.com/?p=9168#comment-56684

I never have enough Thanksgiving leftovers. I don't host the dinner, so I don't get the carcass to boil into broth, and no matter how hefty the tub of leftovers I bring home, they're gone within 36 hours. So this year, I planned ahead and bought a frozen turkey right before Thanksgiving when they went on mega-sale. Sure, it was a bit odd to go to Thanksgiving dinner knowing that I had a turkey defrosting in the fridge at home, but I don't mind being a culinary rebel.
Today I hacked my turkey up. I've got the breast roasting in my crock pot now, and I expect that with the sage and rosemary I rubbed on the skin, my house is going to start smelling like Thanksgiving soon. The wings, thighs and legs have been repackaged and put back in the freezer for future dinners. The rest of the carcassy bits will get stewed up in the crock pot after the breast is done, and the resulting broth will likely become the start of a completely out-of-season matzoh ball soup.
I just really, really wish I still had some stuffing.

I never have enough Thanksgiving leftovers.
