@Xelly: the crème de menthe adds a definite floral bite and a pretty heady aroma. Both versions are the same product, the green one is just colored, sometimes naturally, but usually not.

Cinco de Mayo : Real Holiday :: Columbus Day : Federally Celebrated

Either way the cupcakes are a show stopper, and I’m going to try to make them the next time I throw a party.

P.S. does either of the the creme de menthes you used change the flavor at all?

cinco de mayo in Puebla = real holiday. Cinco de mayo in US = excuse to drink giant drinks and wear giant hats (ie fake holiday)
