You know, I can’t stand the woman’s politics, but I’d bet she’s a helluva cook. Moose chili? Hell, I’d eat that all day.

And them bones – yeah, I’m sure they’d make an awesome stock. Moose more or less equals venison. Crack ‘em, roast ‘em, and boil ‘em. Tasty.

Stock, of course. Maybe she braises the shanks like lamb shank, that sounds delicious.
I don’t get what the big hoopla is – someone said to me, oh-so-mockingly, that Palin (of whom I am not a fan) makes mooseburgers and OMG she even hunts the moose herself. Good for her. How much more “local food movement” can you get? She hunts her own meat and actually eats it, instead of just trophy hunting. If moose tastes good, sign me up to be in her homecoming party (I’m a total wussy and can’t butcher nor shoot my own meat.), I’ll chop the veggies while they prep the carcass.

I’d be willing to bet that moose bones would make a wonderful base for a beef-style stock.
Not sure that I’d risk having her make it for me though….
