Your recipe sounds very refreshing.

Personally, I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to Margaritas. I like: a couple of shots of a quality tequila, a generous squeeze of lime, a healthy splash of Grand Marnier, Cointreau or Gran Gala, and a good shake with lots of ice.
The vanilla extract sounds interesting… though I would use that with lower end tequila, versus a premium one.

A splash of pure vanilla extract, pioneered by the Deal Family in their quest for the perfect libation, adds a certain j' ne se quois that attracts quite the crowd. Don't leave home without it.
